Presentation folders are the most polished and professional method to present your company’s marketing materials. They are often used for conference handouts, business proposals, press kits and product literature.
A well-designed presentation folder adds impact that shows you’re serious about your company’s image. A presentation folder from an office supply that has a label on it conveys just the opposite about your company.
A variety of paper stocks can be used to create folders with a single pocket on either side, or pockets on both sides. They are usually made with slits to hold business cards. They can be printed, foil-stamped or embossed, blind-embossed or a combination of these techniques to increase the visual appeal of your folders. High-gloss, matte & spot coatings can add an extra special touch.
Many companies use the same stock at their stationery for their presentation folders, but is not a necessity. It is perfectly in good taste to use a paper that is totally different to gain extra visual impact.
In addition to the graphic design, I took the photograph for Resource Management Group for this presentation folder. They lease apartments for seven different buildings on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. The challenge was WHAT to focus on for the front cover (he didn't want a collage of all of the buildings). If I took a picture on just one building, it excluded the other six. When I saw this fountain, I knew a night shot could look intriguing.
For the back side of the presentation folder we focused on the Country Club Plaza itself since all of the apartment building are contained within it. I had already done another presentation folder for Crown Management on the Plaza for the Wornall Plaza, an exclusive condominium high-rise. Bob Haus was kind enough to let my new client reuse these images that I took for his presentation folder. As you can see, there are many beautiful fountains, statues and architecture to photograph on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. These two projects are among the most enjoyable photography and design projects I have done to date.
